Summer love in New York City – it’s the stuff of movies. It’s warm breezes on bare skin and long days spent outdoors. It is the stillness of a room where lovers sleep on humid sheets. But all this heat can’t stop the coming winter – when 20 million people return to solitude.
By luck, or foresight, or compulsion, photographer Mustafah Abdulaziz documented the entire arc of his New York City love story with Ida Morin – who had to return to her native Sweden come winter. Through them, we experience the excitement of new love, the stress and isolation of a long distance relationship, and the singular devotion that drives you to find each other again.
